VOA Creole: Haitian police union demands better work conditions

The Haitian National Police labor union, SPNH-17, protested in front of the prime minister's office in Port-au-Prince to demand better work conditions. The officers say they lack adequate equipment and other materials for their fight against armed gangs who control more than 85% of the capital. The union also demanded back pay for those who have worked for months without being paid.
