VOA Africa Meets With Migrants in Calais 'Jungle'

Nicknamed the Calais "Jungle," a series of camps in the vicinity of Calais, France, has become host to migrants from many troubled areas of the world, including Afghanistan, Sudan, and Eritrea. With more than 4,000 people already in the camps, the living conditions are deplorable. But mostly still in transit, many migrants will risk everything in their attempt to reach the United Kingdom by stowing away on trucks crossing the Eurotunnel. VOA's special coverage reporter Nicolas Pinault visited the "Jungle" where he filed this photojournal.
