President Donald Trump downplayed Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's notice to terminate the Visiting Forces Agreement, a decades old pact that allows American forces to train in the country. Trump said the termination will save the U.S. a lot of money, but analysts say scrapping the agreement will deliver a serious blow to U.S. credibility as a security provider to counter China's influence in the region.
