US to assess Israeli progress in improving humanitarian conditions

he United States is set to decide whether Israel has made progress toward improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza, just days after global food security experts warned there was a "strong likelihood" famine was imminent. A prominent human rights group is calling for the deployment of peacekeepers in Sudan. Emergency power outages were imposed in a number of Ukrainian regions due to the threat of Russian strikes on the energy system on Monday. Donald Trump’s supporters in California have been celebrating Trump’s presidential election victory. Haiti’s transitional presidential council has appointed entrepreneur and former senate candidate Alix Didier Fils-Aime to replace Garry Conille as the country’s new prime minister.
