US Seeks Way Forward with Russia in Syria

A senior State Department official says the U.S. is emphasizing the “dangers” of giving Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime a sense that it will be able to retain power. The official commented Sunday after Secretary of State John Kerry discussed Russia’s military build-up in Syria with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
