US Seeks to Defuse Israeli-Palestinian Tensions
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says he hopes to open up some “political space” during his upcoming talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Kerry’s bid to defuse tensions in the region comes at a time when knife attacks, shootings and other incidents have left more than 50 people dead, most of them Palestinians.
