UN Ambassador and Irish Rock Star in Nigeria Promising to Help
Irish rock star, Bono, an ambassador for the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), is pledging to help relieve the humanitarian crisis in Nigeria. After an invitation from Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, Bono visited a camp of 2.3 million displaced people in the northeastern part of the country, which has been severely hit by the Boko Haram insurgency.
