At least one suicide bomber attacked a mosque on the outskirts of Maiduguri, Nigeria, killing at least 22 people and wounding another 17.
Reports on Wednesday's blast said it happened early in the morning in the Umarari area on the outskirts of the city.
Maiduguri is seen as the birthplace of the Boko Haram militant group and hence has become a focus in the government's battle to eliminate them.
No one has claimed responsibility for Wednesday's blast, but Boko Haram often stages attacks in the area.
