A Tunisian trade union leader – one of this year's Nobel Peace Prize winners – has urged the international community to help her country succeed in its economic transition and find ways of halting violence.

Tunisia, dependent on tourism, has seen the number of visitors plummeting since two terror attacks this year that killed scores of tourists, with unemployment of 15 percent and spiraling inflation.
Bouchamaoui spoke in Oslo on Wednesday, a day before the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet receives the award. The Norwegian Nobel Committee cited the winners for making a "decisive contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia'' after the 2011 Jasmine Revolution.
