US Defends Allied Attack on Syria

U.S. officials on Sunday defended allied missile strikes on Syria, saying they were targeting President Bashar al-Assad's illegal chemical weapons facilities. Assad called the strikes an act of aggression against his country and has some support in that claim. The United States and France say they have irrefutable evidence that Syrian government forces used banned substances in a recent attack on a rebel-held area near Damascus. VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports.
