Chinese state media say a court in southwestern China has sentenced three men to death and a woman to life in prison for the killing of 31 people in a knife attack outside a railway station in the city of Kunming.
State TV reported that the Kunming Intermediate People's Court handed down the sentences Friday. The four were convicted of murder and of belonging to a terrorist group.
Beijing has blamed Muslim militants from the far northwest region of Xinjiang for the March 1 attack, which also wounded 141 people.
Chinese authorities shot and killed four other suspected attackers.
Mainly Muslim Uighurs complain of persecution by Beijing authorities.
