Top 5 Songs for Week Ending Aug. 15
1. "Cheerleader" OMI
2."Can't Feel My Face" The Weeknd
3. "Watch Me" Silento
4. "Bad Blood" Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar
5. "See You Again" Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth get us going in fifth place with “See You Again.” When a song stays at number one for 12 weeks you learn a lot about an artist, but here are two things you may not know about Wiz Khalifa: he was born in Minot, North Dakota and he stands six feet, four inches…that works out to a healthy 1.93 meters.

You know who else is tall? Taylor Swift – she’s five feet 10 inches, or 1.77 meters. She and Kendrick Lamar hold in fourth place with “Bad Blood.” Taylor continues to spotlight big-name guests on her nationwide “1989” tour. On August 8 she performed with Fetty Wap at Century Link Field in Seattle, Washington.

Maybe Silento will get a chance before Taylor heads for Asia at the end of October. Here and now, the Georgia teenager remains in third place with “Watch Me.” Silento is Ricky Lamar Hawk…which is a pretty cool name in itself.

This song has become a massive viral video dance hit the world over…two young girls in Fort Worth, Texas just uploaded footage of themselves doing the “whip” and the “nae nae” in wheelchairs.

Abel Tesfaye, known by his stage name the Weeknd, performs on NBC's "Today" show on May 7, 2015, in New York.

Holding in second place is The Weeknd, with “Can’t Feel My Face” which has just gone platinum in the U.S…that signifies sales of more than one million units. We’ll also see the Canadian artist perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by the one and only Miley Cyrus on August 30.

So, if nothing changes…and The Weeknd is number two…does that mean OMI stays at number one with “Cheerleader?”

It sure does…OMI dominates the Hot 100 for a fourth week. On August 8, Nick Jonas sang this song onstage in the Dominican Republic. Last month, the a capella group Pentatonix tackled it while opening for Kelly Clarkson.

Change is in the wind…and you can be a witness next week. Join us for all the action!
