Top 5 Songs for Week Ending June 28

1. "Fancy" Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX
2. "Problem" Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea
3. "Rude" MAGIC!
4. "All of Me" John Legend
5. "Wiggle" Jason Defulo featuring Snoop Dogg

We’ll start at number five, where Jason Derulo and Snoop Dogg hold with “Wiggle.” Snoop’s son may be on his way to football stardom; Snoop has long sponsored a winning youth football program in the Los Angeles area, and his son, Cordell Broadus, is a star American football player in high school. He’s received offers to play with more than a dozen major college programs, including UCLA and Notre Dame.

John Legend dips a slot to fourth place with “All Of Me,” but that’s the least of his problems. John says every time he travels to Canada, security officers pull him to one side for questioning. His real name is John Stephens - and apparently someone else with the same name has a criminal record.

Speaking of all things Canadian, we have a visitor from North of the border this week: MAGIC! jumps four slots to third place with “Rude.” These guys want to stand out: they spell their name in capital letters with an exclamation point. This song comes with credentials: it’s already reached second place in Australia and New Zealand, while going double platinum back home in Canada.

Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea continue to hold down the runner-up slot with “Problem.” Last weekend, Ariana broke the news that her next single, “Break Free,” will premiere on July 2. It’s a collaboration with dance producer Zedd, who says he wanted to work with Ariana the moment he heard her sing at a concert earlier this year.

Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX continue to share the Hot 100 title with “Fancy” - this makes week number four. Charli’s previous brush with chart stardom came two years ago, when her hit with Icona Pop, “I Love It,” sold millions worldwide. Charli says her new solo single “Boom Clap” was meant for Hilary Duff…who turned her down. Charli recorded it herself and you can hear it in the soundtrack for the popular movie The Fault In Our Stars.

That’s it for now, but we'll be back next week with a new lineup.
