A year ago, more than 5,000 Yazidi women and children were captured by Islamic State militants when the extremists overran the northern Iraqi area of Sinjar. Many of those women and girls have been beaten, tortured and bought and sold as slaves. VOA’s Sharon Behn talks to one man who is helping them escape.
