Three former journalists from media mogul Rupert Murdoch's now defunct British newspaper News of The World have pleaded guilty to phone hacking.
Prosecutor Andrew Edis at a trial of two other former News of The World editors said Wednesday that the guilty pleas were entered at earlier hearings by ex-chief correspondent Neville Thurlbeck, former assistant news editor James Weatherup, and ex-news editor Greg Miskiw.
Former News of The World editors Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson are on trial in London with six other defendants on charges of hacking the voicemail accounts of more than 600 people, including politicians, celebrities and a murdered school girl.
Murdoch closed the 168-year-old tabloid in 2011 after the allegations became public.
