PBS Television Series a 'Myth-Busting' Journey Through African History

A new six-hour series by PBS, the Public Broadcasting Service, attempts a monumental task: to reveal the truth of 200,000 years of history in the African continent - “from the origins of human civilization to the threshold of the modern world.” This, according to acclaimed historian and series executive producer Henry Louis Gates Jr, who takes viewers on a journey to explore the vast contributions by Africans that have shaped the continent and the world.
