Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed a new Cabinet, following his re-election late last month.
Mr. Kikwete retained Bernard Membe as foreign affairs minister. The president also named several new Cabinet members, including former U.N. Habitat chief Anna Tibaijuka as lands minister.
Mr. Kikwete was re-elected to another five-year term on October 31, in a poll that triggered opposition charges of fraud.
The president won 61 percent of the vote, while his closest rival, opposition candidate Wilbord Slaa, won 26 percent.
