On New Year, Taiwan, China Leaders Offer Contrasting Visions of Future

Chinese President Xi Jinping has renewed his threat to take over the democratic island of Taiwan, while, while Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen called for peaceful coexistence with Beijing.
