Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. unmanned aircraft has fired missiles at a residence in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least six people.
Authorities say Sunday's drone attack occurred in North Waziristan, a tribal area on the Afghan border.
The area is considered a stronghold of al-Qaida and Taliban fighters. There have been at least 40 such strikes in northwest Pakistan since September.
The United States has increased drone strikes in the region as part of the U.S.-led war against militants in Afghanistan.
U.S. officials rarely acknowledge such attacks.
