Pakistani police say a suicide bomber has attacked a hospital emergency room in the southwestern city of Quetta, killing at least 10 people, including two police officers and a television cameraman.
Police said at least 35 other people were wounded in what a senior police investigator is calling a "sectarian attack."
The emergency room was filled with friends and relatives of a Shi'ite bank manager killed earlier in the day. A number of journalists were also on hand to report on that story.
Quetta is the capital of Baluchistan province, where for years Pakistani authorities have been fighting ethnic insurgents who seek greater autonomy and natural resource profits.
Meanwhile Pakistani officials said Friday suspected U.S. drones killed four militants in North Waziristan near the main city of Miranshah.
