ISLAMABAD —
A suicide bomber on foot detonated his jacket in front of a police station in the Afghan capital Kabul, killing at least five people and wounding up to 10 others, according to Najib Danish, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior.
The Ministry of Public Health confirmed that the wounded were shifted to Kabul hospitals.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense said the target was a government vehicle.
