At least 10 people were killed and four others wounded Tuesday in suicide bombing attack in eastern Afghanistan.
The bomber detonated explosives strapped to his body at a security check post in Jalalabad, capital on Nangarhar province next to the border with Pakistan. A provincial government spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani told VOA eight civilians and two Afghan spy agency operatives were among the dead.
Eyewitnesses told VOA that security personals were searching vehicles at the post when the bomber walked up to them and blew himself up.
There were no immediate claimed of responsibility for the violence in an Afghan province where Taliban insurgents and militants linked to Islamic State maintain bases and have taken credit for plotting bomb attacks against government forces.
