Suicide Bomb Kills Five in Southern Afghanistan


A suicide car bombing has killed five people in an attack targeting a former police official in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province.

Omar Zwak, a spokesman for the governor of Helmand province, says the attack took place Wednesday morning in Lashkar Gah.

At least 19 people were injured in the blast, including the former official.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
