Egyptian authorities are completing the excavation of what they think is an ancient eight meter statue of Ramses II, which they say is one of their most important archeological discoveries, ever. Ramses II, one of the most celebrated pharaohs in Egyptian history, ruled more than 3,000 years ago.

The Egyptian antiquities minister Dr. Khaled Al-Anany tells the media, “It’s one of the most recent valuable discoveries, and the statues will be on display at the Egyptian museum in Tahrir soon."
