Spanish rescuers are searching the Mediterranean Sea for 22 migrants after the boat they were traveling in partially sank off the southern Spanish coastal city of Motril.
Rescue patrols found the sinking boat Friday and saved 29 people after learning that the vessel was in trouble.
Survivors said another 22 people, including two children, had been on board the ship and are still missing.
It is not clear from where the boat originated. But each year thousands of migrants from Africa attempt to reach Europe in small boats. Many are believed to die in the attempt.
