S. Sudan’s Bentiu Camp: Making the Youth Better Than Their Fathers
Sunday Bayak is 16 years old. When fighting started in Bentiu where he lived with his brother, he fled like thousands of South Sudanese to U.N. protected sites. Many of his male friends and peers joined the rebels, either to take revenge for the killing of their relatives or out of hunger, or both. Benno Muchler has more on the story from the camp.
