A member of Somalia's parliament has been killed by a car bomb in Mogadishu.
Isak Mohamed Ibrahim was killed when a bomb concealed in his vehicle exploded in the capital's Hamar Weyne district. Another lawmaker, Mohamud Abdi, was wounded in the attack.
The attack and casualties were confirmed by the Somali prime minister's office.
The Somali militant group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.
The al-Qaida-linked group has lost much of its territory over the past few years to African Union and Somali government troops. But the militants continue to carry out periodic attacks.
In February, 17 people were killed when al-Shabab fighters stormed the presidential palace. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was unharmed in the assault.
