Monday, The United States ice dancing team of Meryl Davis and Charlie White won the gold Monday, topping the Canadian duo of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Russians Elena Ilinykh and Nikita Katsalapov finished third.
Belarus captured two gold medals, with biathlete Darya Domracheva winning her third in the 12.5-kilometer mass start biathlon, after earlier victories in the women's pursuit and individual competitions.
Another Belarussian, skier Anton Kushnir, won the gold medal in men's aerials, beating competitors from Australia and China.
Russia's Alexander Zubkov and Alexey Voevoda won the two-man bobsled race, the host country's first-ever title in the event. They triumphed over teams from Switzerland and the United States.
