Amnesty International and Human Rights watch is calling on the government of Sudan to give access to international humanitarian aid agencies to reach civilians trapped in the fighting between Sudan armed forces and Sudan people’s liberation army northern sector in southern Kordofan
The group released a document today with detailed accounts from eye witnesses in southern Kordofan who claim that Sudan government planes are continuing bombing civilians in villages around Kadguli town.
Human rights desk officer for Sudan, Jehanne Henry says she witnessed Sudan armed forces bombing civilian targets in one of the villages. She said the population in areas controlled by the Sudan people liberation army is in dire basic human needs. She further warns of a loom humanitarian catastrophe in the area.
