An Israeli military vehicle is seen near the Israeli-Lebanese border close to the northern Israeli city of Nahariya, Jan. 31, 2013.
Israeli officials say four rockets were fired toward northern Israel from Lebanon, but none landed in the country. There were no reports of injuries.

The Israeli military said its Iron Dome missile defense shield intercepted one of the rockets launched in Thursday's attack, while the others landed outside Israeli territory.

It blamed the attack on what it called "global jihad terrorists" operating near the Lebanese city of Tyre.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
