New US Congress Gavels in for First Day of Business

Both houses of a new, Republican-led U.S. Congress have completed their first day of business. As VOA’s Michael Bowman reports from Capitol Hill, House Republicans promptly displayed political divisions within their caucus, while the first major bill on the Senate’s agenda has already triggered a veto threat from Democratic President Barack Obama.
