LIVE BLOG: Republican National Convention, Day 3

update

'Make America First Again' was the theme for day 3 of the Republican National Convention, as vice presidential nominee, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, took center stage after other key figures, including: former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Trump rivals Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Florida Senator Marco Rubio addressed the convention.

He says it is love and freedom that has allowed people to achieve their dreams. But he has not, so far, endorsed Trump.

Cruz is not done yet. The crowd is chanting, "We want Trump!" He continues the party and the delegates need to make the case to the American people that each muist commit to defend freedom and be faithful to the Constitution. And the lights go down and he walks off the stage to loud cheers and chants, possibly "Cruz!"

And a video titled "My Father, Donald Trump" begins. All of his children, including the night's next speaker, Eric Trump, are talking about their father. They are talking about what their father can do for the country -- "to fix the country" "his goals" -- as well as what kind of father he is.

RNC house band is trying to get audience participation, getting the delegates to yell "Trump, yea!" as they sing.
