'Make America First Again' was the theme for day 3 of the Republican National Convention, as vice presidential nominee, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, took center stage after other key figures, including: former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Trump rivals Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Florida Senator Marco Rubio addressed the convention.

Jan Erik Surotchak, of the International Republican Institute, spoke with VOA's Russian Service and explained foreign policy differences within the Republican Party.

Republican Committee Chairman Reince Priebus opens the convention tonight. The first speakers of the night include Florida Governor Rick Scott and conservative commentator Laura Ingraham.

There are also several videos on the schedule, including "The Trump We Know," "The Plan is Real," "The Trump Family I Know," "My Father, Donald Trump" and a salute to the 47th anniversary of Apollo 11, which put astronauts Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon.

Early preparations Wednesday at the Quicken Loans Arena included adding an acrylic barrier in front of the stage, where speakers such as Donald Trump's son Eric, and vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will speak tonight. The night program begins at 7:20 p.m. EDT (2320 UTC).
