After a third song by the RNC house band, Jerry Falwell Jr., president of Liberty University, walks out on the stage. Crowd is pretty subdued. Only giving a big cheer when Falwell mentions Donald Trump's name.
Falwell's speech is about the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He touts Trump's business, calls him a blue-collar billionaire. He favors Trump's plan to lift the IRS rule that prohibits tax-exempt organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates. Gets some cheers and hoots from the crowd.
Falwell's speech has a slow start but is warming up. He ends with a joke, of sorts, about Osama, Obama and a Yo Mama joke about Clinton.
Next up, Joe Arpaio, sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, a major speaker against illegal immigration.
