World Leaders Demand Access for Monitors to Eastern Ukraine
European Union and NATO leaders are calling on Russia to stop supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine and to adhere to a mediated truce agreed to last week in Belarus. Despite the agreement, pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine attacked withdrawing government troops and took control of a key town in eastern Ukraine. Fighting has had a disastrous effect on civilian life in the rebel-controlled areas and many residents are fleeing across the border into Russia. Zlatica Hoke has more.
