Police in Indonesia have forced their way into an Islamist school for the first time since a bomb blast killed a man at the school on Monday.
National police said three people were wounded in Wednesday's assault, which ended a two-day standoff with students armed with sticks and machetes.
Police were seeking to investigate the detonation on Monday of a homemade bomb which killed a man who has been variously described as a suspected terrorist or a senior official of the school.
The school has been linked to Jemaah Ansharut Tauhid, a hard-line group founded by radical preacher Abu Bakar Bashir. The cleric was sentenced last month to 15 years in prison for helping to organize a terrorist training camp in northwestern Aceh province.
Four platoons of a local mobile police brigade, backed by other security forces, were deployed for the assault against about 45 students.
Last month, a student at the school was arrested for fatally stabbing a police officer in the neck.
