Up to 45,000 Iraqi Troops Needed to Secure Mosul After Recapture from IS
As Iraqi troops gear up to retake the city of Mosul from Islamic State, coalition officials say up to 45-thousand troops will be needed to remain in the city after its recapture to maintain security. As VOA Pentagon correspondent Carla Babb reports, the push for the city center could be as soon as two weeks away, after Iraqi security forces complete one last training program.
