Bosso, Niger was the first village attacked by Boko Haram in February 2015. In June 2016, jihadist soldiers succeeded in taking control of the village from the Niger army. A year later, VOA French to Africa reporter Nicolas Pinault traveled to Niger where he found life getting back to normal in the village, located a few kilometers from the border.
