A roadside bomb killed three Pakistani soldiers and injured eight in country's northwest region bordering Afghanistan on Sunday, officials said.
According to some Pakistani media reports, a curfew was imposed in the area after the blast.
The attack took place when the vehicle, on a routine military round, hit an improvised explosive device in the Bannu region near Miranshah in North Wazirstan tribal district.
AFP reports that a little known organization, Ansarul Islam Mujahideen, claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Last month a general and a lieutenant colonel were killed in a roadside bomb attack in Khyber Pukhtunkhaw province of Pakistan.
