Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has submitted a list of 34 Cabinet nominees to the Senate for approval.
Senate President David Mark read the list, which did not specify portfolios, to the upper house of parliament Tuesday.
Some of the proposed ministers include ex-finance minister Olusegun Aganga, a former Goldman Sachs executive. Former oil minister Deziani Alison-Madueke also made the list.
Government sources say there are reports that Jonathan has spoken to current World Bank managing director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala about a possible return to government, although she was not on the list submitted Tuesday.

Obasanjo.
Government sources say negotiations are ongoing, and that she wants wider-reaching powers than the previous finance minister.
The Cabinet list is Jonathan's first set of appointees since being sworn in for his first full term as president last month.
