Nigerian Authorities, Unions Disagree Over Fuel Subsidy Removal

Nigerian unions are threatening to strike, demanding the reinstatement of fuel subsidies the government ended in May. The Nigerian Labor Congress, which represents hundreds of thousands of workers, is asking the government to reverse its decision or introduce measures that would help citizens cope with soaring food and transportation costs.
