Pakistani officials say a moderate earthquake has rattled several southern towns, killing one person and injuring at least 50.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the 4.3-magnitude quake hit 12 kilometers north of the city of Nawabshah on Friday.
Police say the quake's early morning shaking toppled the roofs of many houses while the residents were asleep.
An emergency has been declared at the local hospital.
