Iconic and Little Known Landmarks in NYC

A visit to New York was deeply personal for national parks traveler Mikah Meyer, whose family emigrated there from Germany many years ago. He visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two iconic sites off the tip of Manhattan that are particularly symbolic for early immigrants. Meyer also visited about a dozen other historic sites in or around Manhattan and shared highlights of his experience with VOA’s Julie Taboh.
