Parker: Probe Will Be Exposed to Sunlight 3,000 Times More Intense Than Earth

Eugene Parker, solar astrophysicist whose work was vital to the mission to send a probe to the sun, made remarks on the difficulty of the solar mission. The NASA announced this mission on Tuesday, May 31, 2017, including that the space craft is to be renamed to the Parker Solar Probe Plus—honoring Eugene Parker.
