Southern Louisiana Facing Long Road to Recovery
People in Louisiana are assessing their losses after a historic flood in the past few days killed at least 11 people and damaged or destroyed more than 40,000 homes. Federal officials, rescuers and volunteers have been in the disaster area for a few days, making sure no one is left stranded. Louisiana has barely recovered from the flooding of New Orleans brought on by Hurricane Katrina a little over a decade ago. This time the city of Baton Rouge was the hardest hit. Zlatica Hoke reports.
