A popular dating app is weighing into the U.S. presidential election.
Tinder, an app that lets users swipe in order to like a potential match, is calling the new feature “Swipe the Vote,” and presents users with 10 issues on which they can swipe left or right based on their beliefs. The issues range from same-sex marriage to offshore oil drilling, according to a Tinder press release.
The app will then let users know which candidate would be the best choice based on how they swiped.
“We’ve been amazed by the amount of users expressing their political views with matches during this presidential campaign,” Tinder said in a press release Wednesday.
The move comes after two women were banned from using the app after posting pro-Bernie Sanders messages to people with whom they matched.
Swipe the Vote is being done in partnership with Rock the Vote, which aims to increase turnout at the ballot box, particularly among young voters.
“After all, millennials should play a big role in deciding who our next president is,” Tinder said in the release, adding,“Swipe on!”
