The site of the worst mass shooting in the United States plans to reopen as a memorial to the people who died there.
The Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, where 49 were killed and 53 injured in a terrorist attack in June made the announcement via social media Sunday.
In the announcement, the One Pulse Foundation said the goal was to "provide financial assistance to the victims" and to "contribute to the creation of a permanent memorial."
No opening date was given.
On June 12, Omar Mateen entered the gay club and opened fire. He was later killed by police.
Anyone wishing to donate funds to the foundation can do so on its website.
