A man has been convicted of assaulting South African president Jacob Zuma at a horse racing event.
A South African court magistrate concluded Wednesday, the 34-year-old South African man deliberately spilled a glass of whisky on Zuma from a balcony last July.
Daryl Peense admitted to spilling his drink, but says it was an accident.
Officials indicated that he is expected to be fined when he returns to court for sentencing in early September.
