On 7th Anniversary of Libyan Uprising, Peace Remains a Dream

Feb. 17 marks seven years since the start of the Libyan revolution, which culminated with the bloody overthrow of long-time leader Moammar Gadhafi in October 2011. Seven years later, the country is in free-fall on many levels and remains in turmoil. Despite this, the U.N. envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, has a plan to hold elections by the end of the year.
