Interview with Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs
Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Kenya and Djibouti next week (May 3-5). A focus of his trip will be security and counterterrorism in the wake of al Shabab attacks, such as the deadly rampage at Kenya’s Garissa University College. Another key topic will be expanding economic cooperation and civic engagement. VOA State Dept. correspondent Pam Dockins interviewed Linda Thomas-Greenfield, assistant secretary of state for African affairs, about the trip.
